La ristampa è disponibile in due Blu-ray e due CD e in edizione in vinile con due LP.
“Larks Tongues In Aspic” vede la formazione dei King Crimson che comprendeva Bill Bruford alla batteria, John Wetton al basso, il percussionista e batterista Jamie Muir e il violinista David Cross insieme a Robert Fripp.
Fu l’unico album dei King Crimson a presentare Jamie Muir e un anno dopo l’uscita dell’album Fripp sciolse la band.
Il set Blu-ray e CD include i mix 2023 in Dolby Atmos, audio surround DTS-HD MA 5.1 e stereo ad alta risoluzione di Steven Wilson, gli elemental mix di David Singleton, le registrazioni complete di ogni sessione registrata per l’album, mix stereo ad alta risoluzione dei master stereo originali e il documentario audio dell’album di David Singleton durante le registrazioni di “Keep That One, Nick” precedentemente incluso nel cofanetto del 2012. Queste sono le uniche inclusioni rilasciate in precedenza.
I CD includono il mix stereo del 2023 e le parti strumentali dell’album, gli elemental mix e le bobine master selezionate. La nuova ristampa si presenta come un’edizione con copertina apribile 2x contenente i singoli dischi più il libretto con le note sulla copertina del biografo dei King Crimson e scrittore Prog Sid Smith, confezionato in un cofanetto rigido.
